Micro-galleries for electrophysiological screening

Our technology supports low-complexity and scalable loose-patch extracellular recordings from primary cells cultured in our multi-well plates.

The concept is based on a substrate-integrated pipette, a 1 mm long microchannel connecting a pair of culture wells, in which the axons sprout spontaneously to achieve a recording configuration. Therefore the recording does not require micropositioning of recording pipettes and can be performed with minimal training.
